Just arrived: Glossybox December 2011 box

After so much contemplation, I finally decided to subscribe to Glossy Box. I heard about these beauty boxes for awhile and has been trying to stop myself from subscribing. I failed obviously. I don’t put make up much, I don’t do my nails, I barely even have time to put lotion on my hands, I must be crazy to subscribe to this. But I love getting packages and trying different stuffs, I used to have a day where I wash my hair and pamper myself with nice smellng stuffs.

I thought, what the heck, I think I deserve to spoil myself with this, it will ‘force’ me to pay attention to myself and take care of my skin. So after checking all the different boxes, I went for glossy box for the sole reason that they have clinique in their brand list. The only thing that I’ve been using religiously in the past, at present, and still going strong is my clinique products. I’d love to try their other products but they’re always so expensive which put me off so I stick with the basics.

To my delight, the first box I receive contains just what I need from clinique! I’ve be searching for a night cream, my usually oily skin gets really dry with the heater on at night! My clinique day moisturizer just doesn’t help because it’s designed for oily skin. My wish came true.

The box contains sample of Clinique Turnaround Radiant moisturizer, or in a simpler term, cream that you use at night aka night cream. I tried it on tonight and loving it already. If this works I will definitely get the full product. Here’s hoping it won’t be too expensive but chance is it will be. It’s Clinique :-P

Anyway, the rest of the contents didn’t really register in my brain (I’m beauty products challenged!) so I’m not even going to attempt to talk about them. I don’t even know how to use them so I’ll be giving them away to my more beauty product aware friends, There’s this nail thing, hair thing, lip pencil thing, and oh a candy cane! I know what to do with that last one.

And oh, I love the box, it’s so pretty!

Comments:

I first came across eThaiCD when I was looking for Dong Bang Shin Ki concert DVDs. After comparing prices from several other sites, eThaiCD was the cheapest. The DVDs were Thai edition and comes with Thai subtitle, other than that, the contents are exactly the same as the korean edition. The subtitle can be turned off so it didn’t bother me at all. The DVDs are legitimate (not burnt copies) so I was very happy with them.

I have also bought some of their Thai magazines. I personally think they’re a little pricey for its quality. But considering it has free shipping, I still buy from them because I don’t know where else to get them.

What I love the most from eThaiCD is the customer service. I have twice emailed the store manager for special products that they don’t have listed on the site but I know they have been released in Thailand. He promptly replied to me (within minutes) with detailed information. He’s also very honest with the price and quality. The first time he told me what I was looking for was not worth the shipping cost but he’ll still get them for me if I want to (I ended up not getting it). The second time, he told me honestly the quality of the goods and again, he will get it if I still want it (which I did get and very happy about).

They’re also quick in replacing damaged item. Once I ordered a photobook and there was scratches all over it. I complained and they sent me a brand new one immediately at no cost without me having to return the damaged item. That’s what I call commitments!

Overall, I highly recommend eThaiCD for anything Thai! They also have english movies but I’ve never ordered them so I’m not sure how’s the quality but considering they only sell legitimate stuffs, I’m pretty sure they’re good.
